The Mondia Healthcare Group requires a Full-time Team Leader: Billing and Collections who will be based in Bloemfontein.

We are seeking a dynamic leader to own the end-to-end therapy revenue cycle at Mondia Health. This role ensures billing is accurate, timely, compliant, and cash generative.

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

• Minimum of 3 years collections experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within a mental health or hospital setting.
• Proven experience in healthcare billing operations or revenue cycle management.
• Strong knowledge of medical scheme rules, coding standards, compliance frameworks and revenue cycle processes.

 COMPETENCIES

• Proven ability to structure, lead, and coach billing teams.
• Effective collaboration with Clinical, Finance, Operations, and IT teams.
• Knowledge of POPIA, accreditation requirements, and funder rules.
• Root-cause analysis of rejections with corrective action planning.
• Ability to anticipate risks and design preventive measures.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise and guide the billing and collections team.

Billing Oversight

• Ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices.
• Resolve discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary.

Collections Management

• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with clients where appropriate.
• Manage escalate high-risk accounts.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare regular reports on billing accuracy, collections progress, and outstanding debt.

Stakeholder Communication

• Act as the point of contact between departments.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Train staff on updated procedures and compliance requirements.
